The hymn version of this spiritual came into wider use when it was included in With One Voice, a songbook from Augsburg Fortress (#673). This SAB setting uses a slow, free introductory verse which sets up an up-tempo treatment with gospel-style piano accompaniment. This energetic anthem will work well for traditional choirs as well as gospel choirs and praise ensembles.
