Commissioned by the Minnesota Valley Men’s Chorale, Steven Boehlke, conductor, this setting of Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s famous poem is for TTBB choir, cello and piano. Framed by artistic piano accompaniment, the choral harmonies veer from simpler sections of unison and two-part harmony to sections of full four-part harmony with lines that move melodically and harmonically.
