This piece was commissioned by Galilee Lutheran Church in St. Paul in memory of a beloved choir member. The ancient text gets a new melody, but the well-known Irish tune Slane also makes an appearance toward the end. The anthem features comfortable vocal ranges, and may be accompanied by piano alone, or with the optional flute and cello parts which are included with the choral score.
